Hey everyone, just want to give some info on the novel translations that I currently follow 😀

1. Tales of Demon & Gods

• Reason: Overall, I love the MC, who is very clear on who is his friends and enemies. He is very calculating, but does have a degree of arrogance, which he should have since of his vast knowledge. The plot is very simple for now, to become much stronger so what happened in his past life will not happen again. Spirit Beasts, Alchemy, Cultivation, and the good stuff. Very similar to Limitless Sword God.

2.  Against the Gods

• Reason: Great reincarnation story, but skips all the useless building up from baby to teenage years, which I think is a plus. MC is very calculating, but does have a soft spot for beautiful women that care about him. Great story overall and also more of action/adventure driven plot. This does give some insight on medical field, which may/may not be real, but it does add value to the story line. The martial path he is taking is unique to the others ones, which is a plus. It is significantly improves as you read further into the book. The setting is a regular fantasy world of cultivators, spirit beasts and etc.

3. Swallowed Star

• Reason: I also love the MC, a guy who failed at something at the start only to find something new. He is a great gentlemen, but does not portray as much arrogance as many other MC. This LN is more centered towards martial arts, but it is still pretty easy to understand. The beasts in this world is just mutated, instead of spiritual. The atmosphere is awesome and a simple rise to power storyline. The slice of life moments in the story is also very well done.

4. Martial God Asura

• Reason: Lots of action in this LN. Extremely fast-paced, which is great. The MC is arrogant, but main problem is he doesn’t care if he offends anybody. He does what he wants and accepts the consequences. The regular fantasy world with spirit beasts and etc. Great story at the beginning, but kind of slowed down a little now. Nonetheless, still one of the best LN I have read.

5. Coiling Dragon

• Reason: Very simple story-line at the beginning, but it does become more complex as the story goes on. The MC is actually very humble. His “partner” is very lovable. Great story with magic, spirit beasts, and so forth. Probably the reason that I got interested in novel translations in the first place. This is more adventure/action driven than slice of life.

6. Desolate Era

• Reason: The story begins in childhood. The MC is actually very humble and hardworking. This revolves more around him, since he has no partner. Overall, just a decent adventure light novel. This is more adventure/action driven than slice of life. (same author as  Coiling Dragon)

• Main Plot: Becoming strong to protect his family/clan

7. Warlock of the Magus World

• Reason: This MC is an old scientist that reincarnated with a super computer in his head. However, it is still somewhat balanced, but it does give him a major advantage. This light novel is more centered to mages, than warriors, from the title. It follows the adventure of the MC to become a full fledged mage. (Too early to be ranked higher)

8. Sovereign of the Three Realms

• Reason: This MC is a reincarnated encyclopedia basically. His vast knowledge is his OPness. Other than that, he is pretty balanced. The light novel is not very serious yet, since he has to obtain power, but the story shows promise. (Too early to be ranked higher)

• Main Plot: Power progression
• Story Progression: Slow – Medium Pace

9. Bringing The Farm To Live in Another World

• Reason: This MC does not follow a power progression much. Instead, he uses economics, which in this case is farming to obtain power. A fresh splash for the Chinese light novels. Right now, the characters and worldbuilding is decent, so I think it does hold a lot of promise. (Too early to be ranked higher)

10. Evil Warrior King

• Reason: This MC is really lovable, he is much less arrogant than the other MC in this list. He is already OP to some degree, but it probably will not matter as the story progresses. Similar to Assassin Landlord, but the MC is not as perverted and supposedly a little more handsome. Also, the only reason this is ranked higher than Assassin Landlord is b/c of a little girl character that is really lovable and smart, but is not as she seems. This is set in modern times and involves a lot of “thug life.” With comedy in for good measure and serious fight scenes, this web novel will keep you wanting more.
